WELCOME TO THE HOME OF DOUGLAS COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S CLUB!
The DCRWC is located in Douglas County Georgia and is a member of both the National and Georgia Federation of Republican Women. We are a dedicated and motivated group of women from all walks of life and a variety of backgrounds who are joined together for a common purpose.
* We are an organization of like-minded individuals who are committed to good government. Our club and each individual member is also a member of the National Federation of Republican Women and the Georgia Federation of Republican Women.
* We encourage, support and provide opportunities for each of our members to be politically active. The opportunities are numerous and varied and include but are not limited to becoming a convention delegate, volunteering for phone banks, stuffing envelopes for candidates, and hosting fundraisers for Republican candidates.
* We believe that the best government is smaller government that is close to the people and responsive to the people’s needs.
* While our members are all female, we support both male and female Republican candidates for elected offices on a local, state and national level.
* We will assist in the election of Republicans to all three branches of government here in Douglas County as well as at the state and national level.
* We impact Douglas County by helping to elect as our government officials men and women who share our Republican values.
* We realize that by joining together we are able to greatly influence the issues that impact our county, our state, and our nation.
* Our two major roles are to help prepare women for positions in government and to act as a supportive arm for our Republican men who seek to serve our community, state, and country by working diligently to ensure their election or re-election.
* We influence legislation through state and national advocacy programs.
* We sponsor political workshops that equip Republican candidates to run for and secure elected political offices.
* Men who adhere to Republican values are associate members of our club.
* We invite you to join with us as we continue our rich legacy of building good government.
What do we want America to look like in 10 years?
Most important, we want an America that is animated by its first principle. An America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society flourish; An America where people, not government, are empowered; An America where hard work is rewarded, not ravaged by taxes; An America that is strong and safe and protects its people from her enemies; An America where religious freedom and timeless values are protected; An America where its borders are secure and its people are united and An America whose educational system is again the standard of the world.
If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman. Margaret Thatcher
Under Republican Administrations, America adopted the gold standard, won the Spanish-American War, introduced the open-door policy with China, purchased and resumed construction of the Panama Canal, and established the United States as a world military power. Americans welcomed Teddy Roosevelt's strong stand on protecting wildlife and public lands, accepted his creation of the Department of Labor, and applauded his legal action against corporate trusts. America's foreign policy was accurately portrayed by his motto: "Speak softly and carry a big stick."
